I Hunt Killers...

I Hunt Killers (Jasper Dent, #1)Wow! This book was really, really good! I bet the guys in my library will eat this one up! I cannot wait until book two is released. I will be counting down until April. This book was so good in so many ways. I'll be waiting for one of my frequent library flyers to read this book so I can discuss it with him/her.

From goodreads.com:
What if the world's worst serial killer...was your dad?

Jasper "Jazz" Dent is a likable teenager. A charmer, one might say.

But he's also the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, Take Your Son to Work Day was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could—from the criminal's point of view.

And now bodies are piling up in Lobo's Nod.

In an effort to clear his name, Jazz joins the police in a hunt for a new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret—could he be more like his father than anyone knows?

Confessions of a Murder Suspect...

Confessions of a Murder SuspectThis is the first James Patterson book I've ever read. In the past, Patterson's books never had trouble moving off of the shelf. With this book being the first in a new series for Patterson, I thought I would pick it up and see what the hype was all about. I was disappointed in this book to say the least. I'm sure some of my students that like his other books will enjoy this one, but it just didn't do it for me. At least now I can say I've read a James Patterson book. Book #2 in the series will be released in October.

From goodreads.com:
James Patterson returns to the genre that made him famous with a thrilling teen detective series about the mysterious and magnificently wealthy Angel family . . . and the dark secrets they're keeping from one another.

On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, Tandy Angel knows just three things: 1) She was the last person to see her parents alive. 2) The police have no suspects besides Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can't trust anyone—maybe not even herself. Having grown up under Malcolm and Maud's intense perfectionist demands, no child comes away undamaged. Tandy decides that she will have to clear the family name, but digging deeper into her powerful parents' affairs is a dangerous-and revealing-game. Who knows what the Angels are truly capable of?

Pulled...

PulledAfter looking at the ratings for this book, I was pleasantly surprised. This was a good read that I enjoyed. One of my big library readers recently returned this book and said she really, really enjoyed it! I guess that goes to show you can't always go by what the ratings indicate.

From goodreads.com:
For nine years, they drift through life, unable to forget the one who holds the strings to their hearts. In an attempt to escape the pain of her past, Melanie finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage, while Daniel loses himself in a career that means nothing without Melanie by his side. Now, when their lives intersect, neither can deny the connection they felt so long ago. But will the power that drew them together be enough to heal the wounds from their past, and do they have the courage to overcome the insecurities and fears that threaten to keep them apart? Pulled is a story of attraction and separation, of destiny and duty, of a love so strong it refuses to give up even when all others have.

Deadly Little Lessons...

Deadly Little Lessons (Touch, #5)This book was FABULOUS! Love this series! Sad that Deadly Little Lessons is the final book in the series. I'm hoping Laurie Stolarz will write a new series that is equally as good as the Touch series was. In my opinion, this was the best book of the series. If you like this series, you should try the Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting.

From goodreads.com:

Prodigy...so disappointed!

Prodigy (Legend, #2)So disappointed in this book! I loved, loved, loved Legend. I guess I expected way too much after the AWESOMENESS that was Legend. This book was more like a chore to read. The best part of the book was the last 50 pages. I skimmed so much of this book. I'm sure my students will enjoy this one because Legend is so incredibly popular in our library.

From goodreads.com:

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

In this highly-anticipated sequel, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

The Husband List...

Janet Evanovich and Dorien Kelly's newest novel. This one is different than anything else I've read by Evanovich. The main character, Caroline, reminds me what I think I would have been like during that time period. I would have acted just like she did and be the rebellious type. I liked the character that was created in Jack. Although this one is not roll-out-of-bed-laughing-my-butt-off funny like the Stephanie Plum novels, it was a light, easy read. I imagine some of my girls that like historical type novels will like this one.

From goodreads.com:
Based on the family from the bestselling Love In A Nutshell, the story of an heiress longing to marry for love or not at all

From The New York Times bestselling writing duo Janet Evanovich and Dorien Kelly, comes the story of a young woman’s search for true love. Caroline Maxwell would like nothing more than to join her brother, Eddie, and his friend, Jack Culhane, on their adventures. While Jack and Eddie are off seeing the world, buying up businesses and building wildly successful careers, Caroline's stuck at home frightening off the men her mother hopes will ask for her hand in marriage. When her mother sets her sights on the questionable Lord Bremerton as a possible suitor, Caroline struggles with her instincts and the true nature of her heart. She longs for adventure, passion, love, and most of all . . . Jack Culhane, an unconventional Irish-American bachelor with new money and no title. A completely unacceptable suitor in the eyes of Caroline's mother. But Caroline's dark hair, brilliant eyes and quick wit have Jack understanding just why it is people fall in love and get married.

Set in New York City in 1894, The Husband List is an American gilded age romantic mystery. It evokes memories of the lavish lifestyles and social expectations of the Vanderbilts and Rockefellers—a time when new money from the Americas married Old World social prestige and privilege. Dresses by Worth, transcontinental ocean voyages, lavish parties, a little intrigue, and a lot of romance await in, The Husband List.

Clash...Now I Have to Wait Until April for Crush? UGH!

Clash (Crash, #2)First there was Crash. Then there was Clash. Now, I have to wait until the end of April for Crush? I don't know if I can wait that long! I need more Jude Ryder...NOW!

The second book in the series was just as good as the first book. You'll be marking the days on your calendar until the release for book 3, just like me. Good one day read!

Favorite quote: I just wanted you to know I'd be chasing after you right now, naked if need be. But because I'm respecting your request for time and space, I'll force myself to lie here in bed and pretend I'm asleep.

From goodreads.com:
The only easy thing about Jude and Lucy’s relationship is their love for one another. Everything else is hard.

Especially when it comes to reigning in Jude’s trigger touch temper and Lucy’s increasing jealousy of Jude’s Spirit Sister on the cheer squad who’s attached herself to him in just about every way a girl could. Feeling the stress of trying to hang on to her quintessential bad boy while becoming the foremost dancer in her class, Lucy knows something’s going to break. She wants both. She needs both. But if she doesn’t make a choice, she risks losing everything.

For Lucy Larson and Jude Ryder, love might be the thing that just isn’t enough.
