Page turner! Started a little slow for the first 25 pages. I had the mystery solved before the end of the book. Worth the read!

Starts out phenomenal and then lost me about the last 15 -20 pages. I had to go back and reread. Definitely worth the read!

What Light...

 Not nearly as good as Thirteen Reasons Why, but a good read nonetheless. This was a cute little love story and a super easy read!

Small Great Things...

Best Picoult book in a while! It was very powerful! I was angry; I was happy; I was sad! It was worth the read for sure!

Under the Lights...

Not as good as book #1 in the series but a good read none the less. Was a good followup to my previous book that took over two weeks to complete. I can't wait until the third book in this installment.

Two By Two...

My least favorite Nicholas Sparks book ever! It was a chore to read and the book could have easily been written in less than 250 pages.

This one was a bit of a struggle for me. The print was little which made it a struggle to read. The storyline is good but didn't end the way I wanted it to end! Worth the read!

It has been a long time since I've read a book that totally consumed me! This book did just that! I didn't want the book to end. I'm hoping book two in the series is just as good. I laughed, I cried, and I smiled while reading this one.

Curious Minds...

So disappointed with the start of this new series! I'm a huge Janet Evanovich fan and this one just didn't do it for me! I love Stephanie Plum and was hoping this might be a good change of pace. No such luck for me!

Finally finished this one! I've been reading it for a couple of weeks. I ended up skimming the last 100-150 pages. I liked the premise of the story as it represented dysfunctionality at its finest. Still can't figure out what all the hype was with this book on the bestseller lists.

Beautiful Funeral...

Jamie McGuire is known to make me cry. This book was no different. I know my friends that have read her series is going to love this book! I'm hoping this isn't the last in the series.

The Leaving...

Had a strong start for me. Definitely fizzled in the end. I figured out the twist about midway through the book. I wanted more!

Carl Deuker is my favorite sports author. No one else that I've read even comes close! Deuker is my go to author for the boys that like sports. They are never disappointed with his books and usually come back for more. They will enjoy this one!

I can't help but want to read a book by Jamie McGuire. This book is #4 in the Maddox Brother series. Not my favorite of the series but still a decent read. I did like Tyler but wasn't a huge fan of Ellie. My friends will still be happy with the book!

Best book I've read of the summer! It was a definite page turner for me. If you love YA thrillers, you need to pick up this book ASAP!

This one was just okay to me. Nothing to write home about. It was recommended to me by another librarian. Wasn't a page turner in my opinion.

I didn't like this book as much as the first four in the series. I prefer the Stephanie Plum series to this series as it is way more funny. I'm still trying to find my favorite book of the summer.

My Lady Jane...

The best book I've read of the summer thus far! This book kept appearing on many of my blogs. I decided to give it a change. It was a pleasant surprise. One of the cleanest books I've read in a long time. Super funny in spots! Will be a popular book when we return in August.

Beware That Girl...

One of the more demented books I've read in a long time. I almost didn't finish this book because it started so slow (for those of you that know me well, you know I RARELY give up on a book).  My reading this summer has really slowed down as I've had trouble finding that book that keeps me going.

The Long Game...

Not as good as the first book in the series, but I always read whatever Jennifer Barnes writes. I'm hoping book 3 will be stronger.

Powerful story about rape and how it can turn your world upside down. Although the story line was disturbing, this will be a popular book when we return in August.

The Darkest Corners...

Not sure what I think about this one just yet! The jury is still out. It wasn't earth shattering but was a good read. The story line jumped all over the place for me and was hard to follow in a few parts but overall a decent read.

The Outliers...

Book #1 in this new YA thriller series. One of the better ones I've read in a while. Although I wouldn't rate it a five, it was a solid four for me. I can't wait for book #2!

Finding Audrey...

Expected so much more from a book with so much hype. The spelling and language (British) bothered me throughout the book. Definitely wanted more from this one.

Started out so good and then fell off for me about the last 50 pages. I had such high hopes for this book!

Heart wrenching to say the least! I bought book #2 but will need a happy book in between. I can't wait to see the movie!

Felt like a bit of a modern day Breakfast Club. Funny in parts. Serious in parts. Not the best book I've ever read but definitely a break from the norm.

What We Saw...

Picked this book up in the fall. Finally pulled it off my TBR pile. Not sure why I waited so long. Very intriguing book that kept me angry for those that didn't speak out! Will be a book that flies off the new front shelves! "The closer you look, the more you see."

Loved, loved, loved this book! I've been waiting for the book to be on the shelves since we received it in October. A couple of our students have already read this book. It will definitely be one I recommend. It has a lot of the "f" word in the book.

Drug addiction story that covers the cost of family and loss. This story will make you mad and sad at the same time.

Whippoorwill...

Flew through this book. It was written at about a middle school reading level so it was an easy read that didn't require much thinking! Anyone who likes dogs will enjoy this book although there may be a few tears involved.

Something Beautiful...

Book #3 in the Beautiful series tells America and Shepley's story. Super short read (only 100 pages). Definitely something that can be read in one setting. My friends are going to be so excited with another book released in this series! Jamie McGuire never disappoints.

I'm not a big historical fiction reader but I do love this author! Definitely difficult to follow in the beginning because of the alternating points of view and the super short chapters! I'd give this one a 4 out of 5 stars.

AWESOME book! Surprised by the low rating on Goodreads. I really enjoyed this book! Definitely a little bit of a different read than what I'm used to reading for mystery books.

The book had a strong start but flopped about 3/4 of the way through. I was hoping for a good mystery/murder book. What a let down.
