Fangirl...

I loved Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell so thought I would enjoy this one as well. Rowell did not let me down! I did skip almost all of the passages of fan fiction writing and primarily stuck with just the story. I loved the story! For those readers that loved Eleanor & Park, you won't be disappointed with Fangirl! You'll get a kick out of the character names. The twins are named Cather and Wren.

This book was donated to our library. I enjoyed how the book started out but lost some of my interest in the storyline as the story progressed. I definitely could relate to the storyline as the main character grew up in a football oriented family. She is the starting quarterback on the high school team featured in the book. This is the first book I have read by this author.

This one is just as good as Hopeless! There will be a long waiting list for this one in the library! Losing Hope is told from Holder's point of view. Some parts of the book repeat from Hopeless but there is a lot of new insight into the characters.

Red Hill...

I'm totally not a fan of the zombie apocalypse books but this one was different. I'm a huge Jamie McGuire fan, so I had to give this one a try. LOVED IT! It has a little romance to go with the zombie story line. The added bonus of this book was the author stayed at the cabin one of my former student aide's to write this book.

WOW! Simone Elkeles does not disappoint in her newest series release! The girls in the library will be so excited to get their hands on this newest book. Hands down the best book I've read since we returned to school in August!

Picked this one up to read at the Scholastic Book Fair. It was a good read. We will be adding a copy to the library once the book fair is complete.
